Envision Technologies Corp. assembles design team for commercial demonstration

CALGARY, AB – Envision Technologies Corp. has completed the development work on its ETX Upgrader reactor design. The primary hurdle remaining in bringing the technology to market is its demonstration at a commercial scale. A significant impediment to completing this activity is in securing the qualified personnel necessary to carry out the design and engineering of the unit.

"We have been struggling with this issue for some time.", explains Wayne Brown, COO. "With all of the activity in the oil patch a project like ours will not receive the attention and resources required from the large EPC shops. We discovered rather quickly that for our project of our size to succeed we needed to engage people and organizations with a similar entrepreneurial focus to our own. We need all people involved to see the potential in our activity and to be excited in participating."

Dr. Brown pursued several promising avenues before making the proper connection.

"Our timing was just right. We managed to catch an individual with the perfect credentials in transition between projects. When I explained the ETX Upgrader story to him, he found it compelling enough to drive to Calgary for further meetings. It wasn't long after before we had worked out an agreement."

With the new lead process engineer as the focal point, a complete design team capable of generating a basic engineering package for the commercial demonstration unit was assembled. This package is expected to be complete in late May 2006.

"We have landed in the most enviable position imaginable...a complete in-house design team whose collective experience and abilities rival even the most established and engineering houses. Sometimes everything just falls into place."

Construction is scheduled to start on the commercial demonstration unit in 2007. In parallel to the activities in support of the commercial demonstration unit, a smaller piloting exercise is being carried out. Feed is scheduled to be introduced into this smaller unit in the Spring of 2007.

ETX Systems Inc. is a fit-for-purpose private entity based in Calgary, AB, whose sole mandate is to commercialize its patented IYQ Upgrading technology. The process claims to deliver revolutionary yields and qualities relative to delayed coking, for significantly less cost per barrel. The increased production of high quality liquids leads to reduced environmental impact, leveraged through both the upstream and downstream scope.  For more information contact Gerard Monaghan, CEO of ETX Systems Inc.
